Stormtrooper Watch

(Holonet, November 25, 2003)
Fossil has announced the newest collectible watch in their Star Wars line - the Stormtrooper watch!  This is a limited edition, only 3000 will be sold.  Visit the Fossil website for more information.  The only issue we Chicks have with it is that it's a men's watch, and therefore huge - but it's still cool!  Just be sure to let Fossil know that we women want Star Wars watches too, and in more choices than just Padmé!

Website Renovations

(September 15, 2003)
Please excuse the html dust as we attempt to bring you a bigger, better, new and improved Star Wars Chicks! Current individual areas won't see much change at all, other than a brief blackout as we changed servers. These areas include RPG, Sith Chicks, Expanded Universe (Books), the mailing lists, etc. The site as a whole is where our efforts are focused.

The renovations were sparked by MissJedi's retirement from the Star Wars Chicks Council. She and JediGirl were the original founders of Star Wars Chicks, and MissJedi will be missed. If you've come here looking for her, she can now be found at FandomChicks.com. Crysta has stepped up to fill MissJedi's position here at Star Wars Chicks as head webmistress, and JediGirl is still our awesome graphics guru.

Please bear with us and your other Star Wars Chicks councilors as we attempt to resurrect areas of the site that have disappeared into the Maw and include new areas and ideas that we hope you will enjoy. Also, stay tuned, as we plan to hold a call for new ideas and new staff members in the near future!

Chicks at Dragon*Con

(Community, July 25, 2003)
Once again, Star Wars Chicks is going to Dragon*Con! JediGirl and Crysta will be in attendance this year at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The convention takes place on Labor Day weekend, August 29 - September 1, 2003. The convention is always a ton of fun, and we always have a blast meeting Star Wars Chicks from far and wide. More information on the convention can be found at their website, http://www.dragoncon.org. This year's celebrities include Ray Park (Darth Maul), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Kevin J. Anderson (Author - The Jedi Academy Trilogy), and Rebecca Moesta (Author - Young and Junior Jedi Knights series). More may be added later, but this year's low turnout is due to the fact that most of the cast is in Australia, filming Episode III. However, there are plenty of other guests at the Con this year, including an excellent turnout from Babylon 5, Farscape, and Stargate SG-1.

JediGirl and Crysta invite all of you attending the convention to find us and introduce yourselves. We're not that hard to find, honest! Just stake out the Star Wars room and look for a couple of SWC t-shirts and Yoda backpacks.
