Jerra Dagaz

Contact: Cartman2ho@AOL.com

Template: Free-lance mercenary

Species: Aesir (humanoid)

Homeworld: Midgard (6th planet in the Yggdrasil system, on the furthest outskirts of space)

Age: 22

Gender: male

Physical Description: Although the alien warrior is young in age, his weary and battle torn skin betrays this truth. Many a vibro axe has taken it's toll on his limbs, chest and even face, leaving him with several distinguishing scars. The most prominent of these scars is one which appears at the bottom of his right ear lobe and extends to his mouth, where one such weapon of warfare had sliced through his skin once upon a time. His flowing mane of blond hair is cut off at the bottom of his shoulder blades. A short beard of the same colour joins above his top lip to make a moustache, but does not lengthen to his temples. The only sign of his planetary origins is a horizontal ellipse of ivory colouring which covers the length of his brow and at it's widest, covers from his hairline to the bridge of his nose. Another sign of his battle scars is the metallic replacement of his right arm which allows him to make much the same movements as any other being of his kind (if a bit quicker).

Background: Jerra Dagaz was born to Gebo and Isa Dagaz (his father and mother respectively) 22 years ago on the northern continent of Midgard. The Dagaz family belonged (and still belong) to the Futhark clan (one of the seven clans of Midgard) and were (and still are) constantly at war with their northern neighbours the Gruther clan. Due to this endless contest of might and influence, the Futhark clan decided to take the war a step further. So, the Dagaz family were given the great honour of being chosen (due to their part in the clan's formation and their loyalty to it thereafter) to become the first super soldiers of their planet. At least that is what they thought. A member of the jealous Mannaz family (who were also involved in the formation of the Futhark clan) sold information of the genetic engineering to the Gruther clan and even brought them samples of the technology which their clan were using. In exchange for this treachey, his family would live and, once the Gruther clan had won, he would be given Gebo Dagaz's head as a trophy. However, the council of the Futhark clan had become increasingly suspicious of his constant trips out of the country and had him followed one evening where he was found to be delivering new information. The traitor was executed in the most dishonourable fashion (stoned and then hung by his wrists in the town centre to show what happens to traitors) his wife and children were exiled and nobody knows what has become of them. However, none of this could stop what happened next. As a result of the ensuing battle of Sowelu (a large city in Futhark territory) Jerra lost his father and two brothers (Hagalaz and Algiz) he was one of the few survivors. He thus became more relentless and ruthless in his battles and quickly became a veteran and commanding officer of the Futhark army at just 16. However, at the age of 19 (when the stalemate of the Futhark/Gruther war was at it's most tedious) the boy warrior, growing increasingly aggravated by the deadlock, decided he would gain no more experience confined to his native planet. Thus, he jumped into his ship and took off with intentions to become the most feared and respected warrior of the known universe.

Special Abilities: Due to the genetic engineering he underwent on Midgard, Jerra has enhanced agility and strength and when he enters into a rage known to the Aesir people as: Berkana (meaning berserker in English) he feels very little pain until a time which it subsides for some reason or another.

Important Possessions: Jerra has few personal possessions (a beaded necklace, a small figurine of his native God - Thurisaz - and the ingredients of his favoured broth) but plenty of other important possessions. These include: First of all his trusty Vibro Axe (much like those of the Gamorreans) which is his favoured weapon of execution, his blast rifle, his wrist rockets, his glop grenades, thermal detonators, ryyk blades and his missile tube (most of which have been acquired through trips to other planets where he did 'jobs') not to mention the med-pack and the homing beacons he always carries with him.

Objectives: Jerra has only one real objective in his life. He (along with every other bounty hunter in the universe) wants to amass a wealth of his own, which he can subsequently take back to his home planet of Midgard along with a reputation as the greatest warrior in the known universe. With this wealth, he wishes to gain enough influence in the outer-rim territory (at least) to bring back the greatest soldiers in the universe to put an end to the Futhark/Gruther wars and permanently avenge his father's and brothers deaths. Jerra Dagaz will do anything to achieve this goal, even if it means he will die in the process.

Quote: "Othila ing Kano" (strength and honour in English)
