Physical Description: Strong frame, still fit and lithe. Short cropped white hair, and trimmed pepper speckled beard. Grey/ice blue eyes. Wears a loose grey robe and cloak. “Strider“ doesn't wear boots, or footwear. He carries around a ragged pack that contains herbs and other tools

Background: Little is known about the character known as “Strider“. But for certain he was a Jedi of great power long ago. Indeed he still carries around a lightsaber although it is battered and seems very old. Rumor has it that he springs from an old lineage of royalty. He was a prince destined for the throne as he was the eldest, but he had visions of becoming a great Jedi like his grandfather had been. He ran away and changed his identity and began to study the Jedi arts. He honed his abilites to great power. Perhaps Duron sensed the carefully hidden fear everyone had for his great power. Maybe this fear is what sowed the seed of discontent. Anyways - Duron was eventually lured to the Dark side of the Force where he took on the identity of Darth Mire. Somewhere along the way however he fell in love with a girl, a princess of some small kingdom who he had been sent to asassinate. He hovered on the brink of decision between the Dark Side and romance and ultimately chose Love, thus rising back to the Light side. However his Sith master was prepared for such a change and attempted to kill both of them. In a fury, Duron released an attack that killed his master, but in the battle, his love was killed...Duron blamed himself and vowed never to use his Force powers again. Yet it is a curse that he has such great powers, yet cannot use them. He struggles with a burden that threatens to overtake his sanity. He is called “Strider“ because he is a lost soul drifting on the solar winds of time and space. He has roamed all over the galaxy as though running from himself and his past. The Empire was attempting to destroy all Jedi. But Duron had given up his Jedi ways and was wandering like a Nomad. The Empire if they indeed ever came in direct contact with him, thought no less than if they encountered some strange begger. For anyone to have been able to recognize him as a “Jedi“ they would have to be Jedi (or Sith) to have even been able to sense his buried Jedi powers. Now little is known about the extent and strength of his Force abilities. He refuses to use them, sometimes at the peril of his own 
life. Once in a great while he is forced to use his powers for healing or to save the weak. When he does his power is indeed great, although he is loath to admit it. He has no friends but aquaintences for he stays no where for very long. Those that know him only say that he keeps to himself yet there is an air of deep sadness around him. 

Personality: “Strider“ has a gentle nature overshadowing his great frame. He is soft spoken and never raises his voice yet a steely look from his grey & sometimes icy blue eyes, can often times freeze a grown man in his tracks. He likes to keep to himself and has drifted and traveled across the galaxies. Little is known about his past and he likes to keep it that ways, yet there is an aire about him that seems to speak of old times and other places. His voice is strangely lilted as though he speaks with a slight accent. He appears gruff and rough yet at times (often when he is around children) he brightens as though he is driven by an inner fire that is briefly shone. He seems to be searching for something, a host that has not completed his task. His eyes are filled with memories and a deep sadness. 

Objectives: “Strider“ while being a loner and drifter shadowed in mystery will become involved with a group of people and will come to the attention of the Jedi much to his dismay. He may be “persuaded“ to lend his help and wisdom although not without some 
reluctance. “Strider“ is forced to face his fears, and his past. He is like a great warrior who has vowed to cast away his sword yet may be forced to take it up again for a good cause. He is wrought with inner struggle yet he is weary. He faces his final destination that will either make or break him. 

Quote: "Foolish are those that pretend under cover of bright light that no shadow exists. Yet the brighter the light, the darker the shadow that it casts becomes.“ 

Miscellaneous: The key to “Strider“ is his eyes. While most of the time they appear grey, they may seem to change to icy blue if faced with danger or great emotion. 
“Strider“ is a loner, and darkness and shadow are his lovers. He is not evil nor does he refute the light, but he finds that the light is too harsh and may blind him. He is a “Risen Jedi“ meaning he was turned from the Dark into the Light Side. Yet because of his past, he is vowed never to use his Powers unless to heal the sick. He always wears a grey cloak and/or robe. One's eye is not drawn to him and if fact strangely the eye will tend to slide right past him unless he is sought after specifically. 
No one has ever seen him wield a lightsaber, and few have ever even seen it, however he is adept in the arts of healing and the magnatude of his power is often hinted at when he is faced with a person who is severely sick.
