Physical Description: Jance’s most distinguishing features are her wavy, raven-black hair and her deep blue eyes that change colors depending on her mood. When she’s really mad, they go completely steel gray. She is quite attractive, slender but well muscled, and imposing despite her stature- she oozes a certain power and grace that make her someone to be reckoned with, despite her sweet exterior.  

Background: Jance was born on Corellia, followed six years later by her sister Rori. She discovered her uncanny ability to manipulate water and ice at a very young age, and often used it to amuse herself when she got bored. She was also extremely intelligent for her age, and taught herself how to control her ability, and also learned that she could influence other people’s minds.  When Rori was born, Jance was thrilled- now she had someone else she could try  her tricks on! Some part of her seemed to know that Rori also had some sort of ability- and she proved to be correct. She discovered, before anyone else, that Rori had pyrokinetic abilities, and she made a game of keeping it hidden from their parents, Arvin and Carina Firehawk. Jance made a game of provoking Rori into starting a fire, to her immense amusement, and she would ice the fire before their parents found out. Jance and Rori also grew up alongside a young Jedi boy named Marc Zion, who Jance still remembers but Rori has forgotten. He and his parents, friends of Arvin and Carina, were present at the restaurant when Rori’s abilities took a turn for the worse. Jance had again provoked Rori, with disastrous results. Jance, who was all of nine years old at the time, found this greatly humorous and laughed as the restaurant burned to the ground. However, Arvin and Carina were too busy tending to the very shaken Rori to notice Jance. Jance later “convinced” them to institutionalize Rori.  Besides her Force abilities, Jance had proved herself to be very mechanically adept, and she started her flight training at a younger age than most people.  She also attended the Jedi Academy for a few years and enlisted in the New Republic military at the age of 16. This was only a cover for her eventual goal: the resurrection of the Sith. When she was 18, she decided that Rori had probably been through enough, and found her with very little trouble. By that time, the twelve-year-old Rori had  an immense amount of anger burning inside of her- it would only take a small  push to turn her to the Dark Side. In the meantime, Jance encouraged Rori to seek help from the Jedi, knowing that the venture was doomed from the start. It  was only a matter of months before Rori left the Academy, plagued by nightmares and her pyrokinetic ability. Jance played the sympathetic one and tried to help  Rori find an alternative- which just happened to be the Sith. By this time, Jance had several Imperial contacts and it was a very simple matter to cut all ties with the New Republic military and start off afresh as an Imperial TIE pilot. She cited family reasons for her departure. The New Republic was  somewhat reluctant to let one of it’s best pilots go, but Jance was persistent. Jance quickly rose in the ranks of the Imperial Navy, due to her agile mind and charisma. She also helped Rori along in her training with the Sith, and taught her how to fight with a lightstaff as well as the normal single-bladed lightsaber. Lately, she has become very interested in the formation of a new order of Sith, and is more than willing to devote her time to it. She also continues to monitor Rori’s progress and is always trying to find more Sith. 

Personality: Jance is generally even tempered, keeping her cool in most situations. When she does get mad, her anger is very cold and unforgiving, and the one thing she can’t stand is a traitor. Jance is absolutely merciless when it comes to traitors, and anyone who betrays her dies a swift and very painful death. Otherwise, Jance is pretty friendly, but her affability hides her extreme cunning and cold calculation. She also hates having guys try to hit on her- anyone who does ends up with a black eye, a broken jaw or worse. (That might change if a really handsome Sith Lord walked in, though…) 

Objectives: Jance realizes that completely eliminating the Jedi may not be possible, but she certainly wants to cause as much damage to them as possible. She is interested in the birth of a new order of Sith as well as the resurgence of the Empire, but she primarily concerns herself with Rori. Slowly but surely, Jance has been working on Rori, pushing her ever more toward the Dark Side. She is also aware of a certain Marc Zion, who she remembers from very early in  life, and realizes that he just might have enough influence to sway Rori from the Dark Side. She is currently hunting him down so Rori’s journey may be complete.

                 “I’ve been flying since before you crashed your first landspeeder and you’re telling me I can’t get through that asteroid field? I could’ve had a spot in Rogue Squadron, I’ll have you know- so give me those friggin’ controls!” 
                 “I’ll take those controls, thank you very much. I know what I’m doing.” 
                 “Die already! You’re a waste of perfectly good Force lightning!” 
                 “If you betray me, you won’t live to regret it. But I’ll make you suffer first.” 
                 “Now be a good little Jedi and- DIE!” 

Miscellaneous: Force powers- Jance is extremely adept with the Force, and she has a particular talent for mind control. She can actually project herself into people’s minds on the spiritual plane, though she does this very rarely. She’s only tried it with Rori and a few other people. Jance also has a certain talent for manipulating water and ice, and likes to create ice storms for fun and watch everyone freeze their butts off. She also has a penchant for Force lightning and is generally a match for even a Jedi Master.  Other stuff- Jance can be rather cruel at times, especially where Jedi are concerned. Like any regular Joe she does have her hobbies- she particularly enjoys music and flying. She’s a heck of a pilot and plays a mean card game, since she does like to gamble- it comes with being a Corellian!
