Species: Arrani. The Arrani come from the planet Arran, located in the central region of the Hapes Cluster.

Physical Description: Cleante is an Arrani, his race has blue skin and a rainbow of hair colors. They resemble humans in physical appearance, with a few exceptions. Cleante has cobalt blue skin, and Short, straight, bright, yellow hair. His eyes are Amber colored, the same as his sister, Sleante. He stands about six feet, five inches tall and has a toned, muscular build. He’s bipedal and has four fingers on each hand and four toes on each foot. He weighs about 190 lbs, which gives him a well muscled look. His facial features are fine, he has thin yellow eyebrows that arch above his almond shaped eyes. His nose is a little larger than Sleante’s, but pointed at the end and his lips are full, but not very big. His face is heart shaped and his eyes are spaced evenly apart (not too close together or too far apart.) His ears are round and not connected to his head. He has his ears pierced, one hoop on his right ear. On his left arm is a tattoo of two snakes intertwined in a circle, one red and one yellow. Most of the time he wears traditional JedI clothes, but will also wear white or red shirts and brown or black pants. On his feet he wears black boots when he’s outside, which come up to his knee, and inside he wears brown sandals.

Background: Arran is a planet in the central region of the Hapes cluster. It’s a forest planet, with decidous trees and a warm climate. The people that live there all have blue skin, but their hair colors can be a rainbow. Red, yellow, green, white, orange, and black, are the common hair colors. Eye color is usually amber, but there is a genetic possibility of getting blue, yellow, or red eyes. Arrani range in height from six feet to six feet eight inches tall, have only four fingers and toes on each arm and foot. Each Arrani child is a twin. The Arrani have two children each pregnancy, so Cleante, naturally, has a twin. Usually the twins are a boy-girl combination and the parents can have anywhere from one set to ten, depending. The Twins are identical in facial structure and build, the males usually being a little bigger, but their hair color is often not the same. Every once in a great while a single child is born, but this is very rare. Arrani culture is complex. These people are excellent con artists, and this is reflected in their planets appearance. The unwary traveler that stops off on Arrani will see a mideaval type society, seemingly without technology. Nothing could be further from the truth. The primitive looking buildings are only primitive on the outside. If the traveler were to go into a home, he would find droids doing the cleaning and all kinds of advanced technology in the home. This outward look of primitiveness allows the Arrani con artist to pretend that they don’t have what the traveler is selling, easily duping the unsuspecting visitor. The con artist usually ships out his daily fare to smugglers that will take them all over the galaxy, in exchange for keeping the secret that the con artist isn’t a poor farmer. Cleante and his sister were born into a middle class family on Arran, and after a few years it became apparent they both had force ability and at the age of five years, their parents gave them to the Jedi to raise and train on Yavin IV, they were given permission to visit every once in awhile. Cleante was born into a middle class Arrani family, his father was a merchant, selling technology to the average Arrani (in secret when visitors are around, of course) But now he has achieved the rank of Jedi Knight.

Political Affiliation: Supports the New Republic

Significant Family/Friends/Past relations: Cleante, has a twin sister, her name is Sleante (pronounced Slay-ahn-tay). Cleante’s tattoo on his left arm signifies his relationship with his twin. Sleante has the exact same tattoo on her right arm, these were given to them at birth, and every Arrani has one. She is identical in appearance to Cleante except her hair is bright red. She too is a Jedi Knight, but unlike Cleante, has not achieved the rank of Master. She lives on Yavin IV with him and they see each other regularly. His parents, Tiree and Firth, still keep in contact with her. Cleante and Sleante have one set of brother-sister twins. Their names are Cavan and Navan. Cavan being the male and Navan being the female. Cavan has white hair and Navan has yellow hair. Cavan and Navan have moved off Arran and run a lucrative smuggling business, they are a source of annoyance to their brother and sister, Cleante and Sleante are always looking for a way to shut down their business. Cleante has had one lover, her name being Canna, she was an Arrani woman that he met while out training one of his apprentices. The romance ended quickly when her brother Banna grew furious at them. He did not like the idea of his sister dating a Jedi, he believed that type of thing would go nowhere. Cleante has not seen her since. The other important people in his life are his two former apprentices, one of them, Braemar, was a Twi’lek Padawan who, not long after he ended his apprenticeship became a Jedi. The other apprentice, Cleante’s first apprentice, died while they were on Coruscant. He was killed by a Sith while he was out getting food for his and Cleante’s dinner that night. The padawan was human, and his name was Ayr-Wick. The experience was extremely painful and he doesn’t like to talk about it, even with Sleante.

Current and Former Occupations: Cleante has been in training and practicing the JedI arts since he was five years old, he has had no other job.

Personality: Cleante is very shy, and doesn’t speak very much unless he is comfortable with the person, and speaks with a musical voice in a low tenor. He’s not very outgoing and adventurous, he’d rather approach things calmly before action. He does not have an easy time making friends because He can be sarcastic sometimes, but most of the time He keeps it in check. He is very uptight, a source of constant teasing from Sleante. He too has a temper, but it is not as bad as Sleante’s. His biggest weakness is his sister and his deceased padawan. His special connection to his twin and his pain over the loss of Ayr-Wick, causes them to be a sensitive subject whenever they are brought up in conversation. his movements, body language, is very fluid. And, he has a tendency to talk with his hands.

Special Abilities: Cleante can, of course, speak his native language, but he also speaks Galactic Basic. He is well rounded in his JedI Abilities, with a talent for telekinesis. He’s more advanced in his abilities than Sleante, but she‘s catching up fast. He has a harder time with languages than Sleante, but he’s far more knowledgeable with Technology. He likes to read and play his flute, preferably with Sleante accompanying him on guitar. He doesn’t have any hidden talents.

Important Possessions: His light saber is his most important possession, it has a green blade. Besides his light saber, he carries a necklace (he doesn’t wear it) that belonged to Ayr-Wick; he keeps it in a secret pocket inside his robes. Lastly, he has pan flute type instrument that he enjoys playing.

Objectives: His number one objective is to honor the Jedi code. His other objectives include, vanquishing the Sith order, helping to bring down the Imperial resistance, and get his brother and sister, Cavan and Navan, out of the smuggling business. He’d also like to try to calm his much more adventurous and wild twin sister. He’s always worrying about her temper and the possibility that it could cause her to turn to the dark side, even though she reassures him it will never happen.

Miscellaneous: Cleante still bears the emotional scars of the loss of his first padawan he feels like it was his fault. Other than that, he does not have any mental complexes. He is allergic to furry animals, and so he has never kept a pet (obviously). He is extremely shy, especially around women and will often find himself saying really stupid things, when he meant to say something suave and romantic.
