Darth Romelio Muerte |

Contact: demarazare@aol.com Template: Dark Lord of the Sith, Imperial Species: Humanoid Age: Looks to be in low forties, actually close to two hundred years old Gender: Male Height: 6'1" Weight: 178 lbs Physical Description: Muerte's true age and species is a mystery. Small crinkles of crow's feet touch the corners of his eyes, his skin is rough and weathered, and his green eyes, if they are not shielded by his blank expression, hold intelligence and a lifetime of memories. Yet his hair is still a deep wine-red, untouched by grey, and only frown lines wrinkle his face. Muerte is a rather scrawny man, but tries to hide it with thick dark robes, a cape, black gloves, and knee-high boots. In physical appearance he is not terribly creepy-looking, but his clothes, strange manners, and Darkside presence give him an air that inspires discomfort which he is proud of. At his side, usually beneath his robes, Muerte carries a silver, black-gripped, single-blade lightsaber with a dark red blade. Background: In approximately the fiftieth year of the Empire, an Imperial officer later to be known as Warlord was contacted by a man calling himself Romelio Muerte. A tentative union was formed, modeled upon the late Emperor. Muerte's skills with the Force make him a necessary part of the Empire's plan to re-establish itself, due to the rising numbers of Jedi and their inextricable ties as practical agents of the New Republic. It was simply impossible for the Empire to cope without a comparable Force presence. He resides on the Imperial Capital, until recently living with his apprentice, and advises the Warlord occasionally. He also acts as a fear-inspiring deterrent to failure, similar to the former Darth Vader, who was known for his punishments. Muerte, however, has a reputation as a fate worse than death. Personality: A twisted soul, Muerte seems to always either be scowling or smirking in public, which might hint at madness. His mood can change as quickly as he can ignite a lightsaber, and his wit is just as fast. He enjoys turning a conversation in unexpected directions and manipulating others with sheer logic. This makes him good in a verbal discussion or argument, but not likeable. He has a difficult time stopping this verbal sparring even when speaking on serious matters to allies. He does not like to lose arguments or be crossed, and turns violent (usually by Force slamming the person, rather than with his lightsaber). He has a very twisted sense of humor, and most enjoys seeing other's discomfort, suffering, and pain. Objectives: For the moment he seeks to help the Empire ragain its former power. He is also actively searching for a new apprentice and quietly plotting against the rising Jedi forces on Yavin IV. Quote: "I am become death, destroyer of worlds..." -Hindu scripture Miscellaneous: He has an unusual collection of memorabelia which he displays in his private chambers. It includes everything from furniture to oddly shaped medallions, torches and candles, books, and a rack full of lightsabers. He prides himself on his collection not only for the uneasiness it inspires in visitors, but for the memories behind each piece; everything has significance to him, as if they were trophies rather than everyday (though peculiar) items. Most of the pieces in his collection are tokens taken from enemies he has fought, particularly those he defeated. Muerte's talent in the Force lies in a great aptitude for affecting the thoughts and mental states of others. He used these skills to make his apprentice, Caleb, forget his Jedi mother and occasionally instill anger in the boy to aid in his training of the Dark Side. Yet his power has limits; he does not have absolute control over a strong will such as another well-trained Force-user, and it takes great effort to maintain constant control. He is increasingly losing control over his apprentice as the boy learns more and becomes stronger, and as Caleb's loyalty is only the effect of Muerte's manipulation, it becomes a dangerous time for the Sith Master. He is now looking for a new apprentice which would willingly accept his Mastership, and watching his back as he awaits Caleb's eventual recovery of his buried memories. Despite that, he remains sure of his prowess and ability to overcome his own student, and proud of the Darksider he has shaped out of the weakling Jedi child. Muerte is not completely human, a fact which he hides from the xenophobic Empire. As a result, he refuses all medical exams and blood tests, and will not seek medical attention when sick. OOC: Player's Favorite Scene: Vader, looking back and forth between Luke and Palpatine as his son lies twitching in pain on the floor, calling "Father..." Somehow that metal and glass mask takes on emotion. |
