Template: Explorer / Spy / Investigator for the New Republic

Species: BinHons: A race of tall half-human half-rabbit type creatures. Hons are covered in fur, have long rabbit ears, large eyes, and tails that range from small puffs to long, furry, lion-like tails. Their fur comes in all ranges of colors. Generally Hons have bodies built like a human however grow a bit taller: males at about 6’7” and females at about 6’4”.

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Physical Description: Sade stands at 5’6’’ and weighs about 130 pounds, depending on how much she’s eaten the night before. A homey BinHon, if not comely, Sade has an attractive tawny yellow coat with a white stomach, feet, and hands. Her long ears are generally pushed to hang down her back and are decorated with a few piercings in each. BinHons don’t have hair –or any sort of mane- but her fur does get a bit longer at the top of her head and flops over in front of her eyes. Currently this bit of “hair” is dyed green to match her eyes, but naturally it is a white that matches the rest of her fur. She wears whatever she deems comfortable, generally pants that she can move freely in. Her lithe body and exotic race make her very appealing to other species and she has been dressed up on occasion.

Background: Sade, along with all other BinHons of the same age, was trained from the moment she was intelligent enough to learn. She was chosen to be a future explorer on scientific space flights because of her observant and curious nature. Always in the search for knowledge, the BinHons spent eons advancing towards what they thought would be a brighter future. When minions of the Empire discovered their planet all of the BinHons were shocked at the other life forms and disappointed that there were races more advanced than them. No one had any thoughts of fear until it was too late and the BinHon population was being led in chains onto ships to helplessly watch their world be blown into space dust. Sade’s escape was pure luck. She had been testing and training outside Hons atmosphere far off enough that she avoided the enemy’s immediate concern. In a flash of brilliance she landed her tiny ship on one of the much larger Empire vessels and hitched a ride until she felt she had been a stowaway for too long. She flew through space until her ship began to fall apart and crashed onto the planet of Coruscant. There she was spotted and rescued by the Jedi to whom she told her sad story. Lucky for her that she was saved by whom she was; the Empire would have loved to keep her quiet about what she had seen.

Place of Origin: Sade original came from the planet Hons (outside the Star Wars galaxy). When this was exploded by the Empire, Sade hitched a ride to another planet (which turned out to be Coruscant), crashed, and learned about what she had gotten into.

Social Status: Almost all inhabitants of Hons were well-to-do as the population was small and had high hopes of enhancement. There were no extreme differences between classes and true cosmology. BinHons were too concerned with advancement to bother with petty fights and personal hatreds so there was never a need for a ruling class. The smartest were at the top of all forms of business, schooling, etcetera (naturally) but other than that there was no status in society.

Political Affiliation: As she owes her life to the kindhearted Jedi who protected her from harm and suspicion when she first crashed on Coruscant as well as healed her physical and mental wounds, Sade is forever indebted to the New Republic and remains loyal to them.

Significant Family/Friends/Past relations: Much of Hons was captured by a curious Admiral upon the ships that first investigated and then destroyed Hons. Her parents as well as her fellow students were taken into slavery and dumped onto a moon sold to a rich slave owner. The once proud and prosperous population current works herding exotic creatures and taking care of their master’s private moon. Sade never had time for intimate relationships and has no close friends of her own species. After giving birth, her mother returned to her work, leaving Sade with other young BinHons to be watched and trained for their future jobs. Only at night when the working day was done did they return to their home as a family. This was not unusual and in fact was encouraged by society; BinHons are very ambitious. This importance placed on success (especially personal success) made a very big impact on Sade and it wasn’t until she watched her planet be destroyed that she realized her wrong her priorities had been.

Current and Former Occupations: An explorer through and through, Sade now helps spy on and investigate matters concerning the Empire. She serves the Jedi as well as the New Republic as she senses their power for good.

Personality: Sade is very self-conscious and easily frightened. When she’s nervous she has a habit of flashing small, quick smiles and darting her eyes around. For these reasons she is awful at any form of lying. She’s very polite to everyone, even those who do not deserve any extra consideration. Sade’s naivety and trusting nature has gotten both in and out of trouble; she has a habit of accepting everything until she is told otherwise. She does, however, like to prove things to herself and investigates in order to learn more. As she is new to the galaxy, Sade is very curious and asks millions of questions. She was encouraged at a young age to explore everything so she has a nasty habit of sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong and probing into other people’s secrets.

Special Abilities: as her planet was never in contact with the Empire, Jedi, Alliance, or any other other-world civilization before it was destroyed, Sade was not trained in any form of military combat or in the Force. Her training instead was to be part of a scientific team that would explore the nearby planets and report back with their findings. She is very good at finding little easily unnoticed details and making understandable (and often correct) hypothesizes.

Important Possessions: Sade brought nothing on board her ship before her planet’s destruction, thinking her flight to be yet another testing run. As a result her life was saved but none of her belongs were lucky enough to be on board. She shed her clothes to wear more comfortable (and cleaner) dressings when she arrived on Coruscant.

Objectives: To find wherever her people are being held captive and to finish her mission as an explorer for Hons.
