Rowyn'klaa (“Rowyn“), a.k.a. “The She-Lylek“

Physical Description: Rowyn is a tall, thin, beautiful female Twi'lek dancer/singer with very white skin and red eyes. Her head-tails are tattooed with red, claw-like designs. She has filed her canine teeth into fangs, and her fingernails are long, sharp talons (rather like Bib Fortuna's in “Return of the Jedi“). Her wrists, ankles, and throat have very faint burn-marks on them, from the electrified collars and shackles she wore as a slave (“Background“), and her back is scarred from being whipped by her master. In addition, Rowyn has a gash in her right leg that gives her a limp (again, please see “Background“) Also, she wears a very long black bandanna on her head, and doesn't like to go anywhere without it, as it is the only thing that she has of her mother's. 

Background: Rowyn was born on the nightside surface of Ryloth to a slave-woman. Her mother smuggled her to the tunnels below, to the city of Kala'unn, and left her with a dance-trainer. Rowyn doesn't remember her mother, since she only spent a few weeks with her, and all she has to remember her mother by is a black strip of cloth, which Rowyn uses as a bandanna. As for her father, she never met him, and isn't precisely sure of who he is. About four or five years later, a Human slaver came to Ryloth, and kidnapped her. So, Rowyn spent 10 years in slavery on Tatooine, dancing and singing for the enertainment of the customers at her master's seedy bar/inn. She eventually met up with a rich young Twi'leki male called Ralk, who showed romantic interest in her (she didn't go for it). The two struck up a partnership to free Rowyn and her companions from her master, and in a slave revolt, they managed to get her and all her friends away from Tatooine. Ralk, a Jedi trainee, convinced Rowyn to come to Yavin 4 with him, since he could tell that she had Force-potential as well, and could make a good Jedi. But some slave-hunters had hidden on Ralk's ship, and they attacked all those on board. Rowyn and Ralk beat them into submission, but not before the other four passengers on the ship were killed. As Ralk and Rowyn landed on Yavin 4, a slave-hunter awoke and attacked. Rowyn sustained a debilitating vibroblade wound in her right leg, and as Ralk  struggled with the slave-hunter, he and his opponent plunged into a river. Though she searched for him, Rowyn knew that he was gone - just as she realized that she loved him. Rowyn wandered around Yavin 4 and eventually wound up at the Jedi Academy. After her injuries were treated, she decided to honour Ralk's wishes and become a Jedi. 

Personality: Rowyn is, er...fiesty, to say the least - the decade she spent as a slave has made her very grim and rather bitter. She has a quick temper, and is fierce in battle. But while she's tough, she's also very compassionate towards “the little guy,“ and likes to help people in need. She's also got a pretty keen sense (albeit occasionally DARK) of humour, so she isn't above a good laugh. Like the rest of her race, Rowyn is also very intelligent, though her cunning mind and sharp tongue can get her INTO trouble as easily as OUT of it. Rowyn's often a loner, but she can work very effectively with those she trusts. 

Objectives: Rowyn's larger goals include getting slavery abolished on every planet, but for now, she's just trying to get her Jedi training done. She also hates evil, so she makes squashing the “threat-to-the-galaxy-of-the-week“ her main priority whenever it rears its ugly head.

Miscellaneous: Rowyn has some powers of precognition - though she is certainly not “all-seeing“ or “all-knowing,“ she sometimes gets premonitions. She's also a gifted linguist, and can learn languages with impressive speed. Rowyn isn't crazy about spaceships, as she has a fear of flying (though she doesn't know why). She's also rather prejudiced against all Humans, especially Corellians, since her master was a Corellian Human. Rowyn has a bad temper and a hatred for oppressors that can often escalate into violent actions. She has dedicated herself to the Light Side of the Force, but she shows signs that suggests she may one day turn to the Dark Side. 

OOC: Player's Favorite Scene: Err...I guess, anything with Twi'leks. My favourite Star Wars species is the Twi'leks (which should be pretty apparent from my character). However, I also like the duel between Darth Maul and Qui-Gon, and the “I am your father...“ bit from “The Empire Strikes Back.“ Anyway...
