Katina (Kati) Silverblade

Physical Description: Katina has long,wild blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She normally wears her hair in a thick braid or tied back. She walks with a bit of a limp from an old injury, but usually covers it with a confident swagger. Katina also has a scar on the back of her right hand. She wears a necklace with a silver chain. A large, rare crystal hangs on it. It glows bright blue whenever she touches it. The crystal will also glow when other force sensitve people touch it, although in different colors. Also wears the dark brown Jedi rober her rescuer was wearing.

Background: Katina, or Kati, was born on Corellia, and lived in Coronet. She barely remembers anything of her life before age six, when stormtroopers raided her house and killed her parents. They then took Katina to an Imperial laboratory, where scietists tested ways of increacing intelligence in children for military purposes. She was there until age eight, when a group of liberators came to free the children, including a Jedi Knight. Katina was found by the Jedi, who cut through the door of her cell and fought off stormtoopers while they escaped on board a shuttle. The Jedi told Katina that the Force was strong with her, but died of injuries before he could teach her anything. Nearly a week later, a military ship found the shuttle floating around Corellia, with a young girl inside clutching a lightsaber and wrapped in a Jedi robe. Katina ended up on the streets of Corellia, and determined to survive, formed a group of other street kids, and became their leader. She unk! nowingly used her skill with the Force to pick locks and help make decisons for her group. Katina became known for the lightsaber she carried, of a silvery gray color. People called her Silverblade, the name she took as her last name. A Jedi on Corellia found her at age 14, and took her to Yavin 4 to train as a Jedi Knight. Katina learned some basic Force skills and the rudiments of piloting on the way. 

Personality: Katina is suspitious, intelligent and street smart, as a result of living on the streets, and because of what the Imperials did to her. Once she makes a friend, she will become cheerful and talkative. She does not like Imperials one bit, and would like to see justice done to those who killed her family. 
                 
Objectives: Katina would like to become a Jedi Knight, and use her skills to be a fighter pilot. She would like to finish the X-wing fighter that she is rebuilding with salvaged parts. Katina would also like to learn more about her family history.

Miscellaneous: Katina has a talent for working with machinery, and the lightsaber. She can build working machines with junked parts easily. As for the lightsaber, she is an exellent swordswoman, with one, two, or double blades. Her own lightsaber is built out of a piece of meteorite with three, force sensitive cyrstals. The crystals glow deep cerulean when she touches them, giving her blade that color. She built a connector that allows her to link her own saber, and her rescuer's together, forming a double bladed saber, one silver, one cerulean. They can also be weilded as seperate blades. She is most skilled with the single blade and the double blade. Her biggest flaws are getting frustrated when those around her can't see a solution as quickly as she can, and rarely trusting anyone other than herself. She also hates Imperials, which doesn't help, but she is determined to become a Jedi Knight.
