The Malapert MawThursdays 9pm EST and Saturdays 10am EST
In need of a drink, a place to stop and while away the evening hours, or even a place to hide, spacers from all walks of life and from all over the galaxy find their way to the Malapert Maw.
The outside is dark but for the glare of the neon sign announcing its name, but the faint sounds of music, mingled with laughter or blaster shots can be heard. The soft light pooling at the door draws you in.
As you enter, there is a cluster of tables and booths off to your left, half hidden by the shadows. Should you feel lucky, there are a few gaming tables to your right. In the center, directly before you, there is a section of smooth floor that suggests room for dancing. Against the opposite wall is a bar, well lit by the garish neon lights advertising various drinks and the name of the establishment. The bartender does her duty behind the counter, silently filling the orders for drinks. In the righthand corner is a raised platform for a band, but near the door where you entered is a jizz box.
The place is generally well kept, but still not the newest or cleanest place in the galaxy. The tables show the marks, signatures, and declarations of love of patrons from years past, the dance floor has a dull shine accented with dust and scratches, and the mugs and glasses are fogged with age. But the drinks are good, the prices cheap, and the law hardly ever slips in to investigate.

Character Restrictions
Members of the e-mail RPG will find these
familiar, but to play in the Cantina you do not
need to submit a character and have it approved.
You're on your honor in this one.
Gamers must create an original character to play in
the Star Wars Chicks RPG. No gamer can play Luke, Han,
Leia, Mara Jade, or Corran Horn, or any of the
characters from the movies, novels, comics, and short
stories. It is also recommended that they not be an
exact copy of a Star Wars author's character with a
different name.
(Why?)
No gamer may play the intimate acquaintance, former
lover, relative, or descendent of the characters from
the movies, novels, comics, or short stories.
(Why?)
Characters should fit reasonably into a Star Wars
setting. No crossover characters from other universes
(such as Star Trek) will be allowed.
Characters for the RPG must be reasonable and fair.
A gamer should recognize the limits of lifespan, age,
money, and luck. Characters with outrageous knowledge,
ability, or power will be rejected so that no one
player becomes the "star," as this is a group game and
not devoted to a single person.
Gamers should select a character fit to their own
knowledge. A person who knows little about the Force
should not attempt to play a Jedi Master.

Cantina Logs
I've switched to an easier (for me) and quicker turn-around system of uploading the chat logs. I've given up linking the files all nice, at least for the time being.
Files are named by date and parts. This may confuse overseas folks, but here is how it works.
Example: 050701a.txt
05 is the month (May)
You can view the files on the web with left click, but the word-wrap feature will not work and the logs will most likely not fit correctly on your monitor. I recommend saving the files and then opening them on your own computer, and in the Edit menu of notepad check "Word Wrap." Alternately, you can open the file on the web and select all the text (Ctrl+A) and then copy and paste it into the word processor of your choice.
Think you've got it? Then go look at the logs!
Most of the logs were done by me (Julie) but I'd like to thank Jet Vega for her help in sending me some logs from times I had to leave early, or sessions I missed.
