their old friend is given "shelter" by Qui-Gon. Have always done
everything together?

An Old Friend

You step around Jedi Knight Ardeth Fey's deathly still
meditating body. He sits cross-legged in the middle of the bedroom
floor oblivious to everything including the wretching you just
finished for the third time today. Of course now your breath has
a minty fresh taste after brushing with toothpaste and rinsing with
mouthwash.

You swig your favorite berry juice and grimace at how awful it
tastes when mixed with mint.

You study Ardeth's motionless body. His chest barely moves,
you wonder if he is even breathing. How did you and he ever get
together? You two are so different. How do you communicate with
a man whose worldview is the sacredness of life, all life while you
were trained to blow people away, anticipate the liquidity of
battle and make decisions at a moment's notice? You were a warrior
and he is knight. You recall what Yoda once said to him, "Wars do
not make one great."

You instinctively rub your belly and sigh. You're doing it
again. Overanalyzing and not trusting the fact that he loves you
and you love him.

"Back to the condenser." You say picking up your tool belt
and heading out back through the patio. You shimmy your ever-
widening belly under a cubby hole in the back of the house. The
cold season is approaching and the air will be dryer, hence you'll
need to adjust the apparitus which connects the house's line to the
aquafer underneath. The machine also recycles waist water and
gathers moisture from the air. Since you are so far away from the
city lines, this provides the much need water for you and your
family.

Ardeth picked this place not too long after you three were
bonded. Neither of you had a permanent place to live, just a
rented hovel in town where you all shared a bed when you could.

You and Master Qui-Gon Jinn had come back from your respective
assignments. Ardeth procured a speeder and drove you and Qui out
to this spot where you saw blowing desert and some homes in the
distance.

"We will raise our family here." Ardeth announced proudly.

"Here?" You asked waving your hands.

Qui-Gon sighed and smiled, "This is an excellent place."

You glared at the two like they were nuts. Did they see some
magical building that wasn't there? You certainly weren't going to
live in a tent this far out--for nobody! You didn't care how much
you loved them.

He had other ideas. Six months later, the house was built.
This is home for them and now it's home for you.

You twist the final screw into place after adjusting the
settings to a higher level.

"That should do it." You wipe the dark lubricant on your pants
and shirt.

"Chana!" Qui calls you from inside.

"Now hold." You scold the black machinery playfully.

//He said he wouldn't be back until evening. Is it that late
already?//

You wipe sand from your eyes smearing more lubricant on your
face. You stop in your tracks upon seeing an incredible sight
standing in your living room.

Delicate features, perfectly plump lips, blond hair with long
natural curls and high cheek bones which rest perfectly under her
sky blue eyes greet you curiously. Her flawless alabaster skin
which covers her lith body is clothed in quintessential Jedi
attire. This perfection stands next to Qui-Gon reaching his chest.
You shift uncomfortably noticing your ratty ponytail is caked
with sand, grease stains abound on your face and clothes and your
body hasn't been that thin in months. You wince receiving a kick
from your daughter who has decided to shift positions inside of
you.

"I am Elin Martina." She says offering you her hand.

You remember your manners, "I am Chana it is a pleasure to
meet you."

"She is here for a short time and needed a place to rest her
head," Qui-Gon beams, "I offered her shelter."

You nod slowly knowing how he gets. When Qui-Gon's like this
there is no changing his mind. Though you love him, his
personality quirks leave a lot to be desired. There's no telling
what he'll take a liking to or who he'll bring home if he believes
they need help. To you, Elin looks like she can do just fine on
her own.

"Sure. Of course you are welcome." You smile genuinely. After
all she is a Jedi and her service to the republic is invaluable.
"You're just in time for dinner."

"Thank you--" Her gaze diverts from you. "Ardeth Fey? Is that
you?"

"Elin, I thought I heard your voice." Ardeth's giant smile and
the large bear hug he gives her tells you immediately there's more
to this situation than meets the eye.

You sit rather dumbstruck as Qui-Gon clears the table and
Ardeth serves dessert. This knocks you for a loop because they
stopped helping voluntarily three years ago by your calculations.
Of course you hide your shock with small talk and pleasantries.

"So you have known them long?" You ask pleasantly. She seems
nice enough.

Elin glances at her pastry and smirks, "Yes. I have."

"We have shared many adventures together." Qui-Gon adds taking
his place at the table, "She is a fine knight."

"Thank you Master Jinn." She speaks in between nibbles on the
pastry, "The dinner was delicious. My kudos to the chef. Though
I am surprised at how well you've tamed them."

You nod graciously and raise your brows, "Tame them?"

"There was a time when they were good for only two things and
housework was not one of them."

Everyone chuckles except for you. What the hell was that
suppose to mean?

//Stop over reacting.// "Oh. Well." You smile.

"I encountered some trouble on my last mission and I'm afraid
I'm stranded until the council makes their decision." Elin said
looking at Jinn.

"Our home is yours for as long as you need it." He squeezes her
hand.

You rest your chin on your hands. //Was that an open
invitation?// "Well if you'll excuse me I'm a little tired. I'll
be turning in."

"Of course. It is a pleasure to meet you." Elin shakes your
hand pleasantly.

You stand up, "The sofa is a fold out, it has a new mattress
and is very comfortable. Unfortunately we don't have a bed in the
spare any more--."

Elin cuts you off, "---Thank you. The sofa will be fine."

"I'll put some blankets and pillows out for you. Make yourself
at home."

She nods at you and glances at Qui and Ardeth. They look like
toydarians who just made a sale. You excuse yourself.

Warm water splays over your body. The beading water is a
mini-massage for your aching muscles. You run your hands through
your soaked hair. Why can't life be like a good shower?

Water cascades on you from behind. Powerful arms pull you
close. You recognize Ardeth simply by his touch. He kisses your
shoulders and neck. Hands massage your breasts. You purr and
lounge on his tall frame. Fingers disappear into your moist
interior. His mouth captures yours in a searing kiss just as you
gasp.

You turn and kiss his ridged stomach. Your hands caress his
body. He arches to kiss you. It is many things. Juicy, wet, hot,
urgent and all tongue. You grip his elongated cock stroking it
just so.

Your tongue flicks the leaking head eliciting a groan deep
within his chest. Water cascades around you. A drop of
lubrication oozes from the slit. You savor the salty flavor.

You clutch his cock and take him into your mouth sucking him
loudly.

//Chana yes. I love you.// He moans. His fingers intertwine
in your wet hair.

Your head bobs up and down savoring him. Your nipples are
hard and the wetness dripping down your legs is not from the
shower.

Your mind clears momentarily from its cloud of arousal. You
have no idea who turned off the water and when it happened but now
the only sound you hear is the smacking of Ardeth taking you from
behind. Your hands grip the face bowl, legs spread far apart. You
straddle an overturned hamper to give you height. Ardeth stoops to
grip your waist and hips. Sometimes he strokes your swollen
stomach. His pace is furious. Ardeth's stiff penis slides in and
out of you. Your body enjoys him fully but there is something
missing.

His connection to you is not there. You mentally reached out
to him several times but were blocked. Yes on more than one
occasion during lovemaking when you've reached out to him you
discovered him thinking about the results of a negotiation or a
situation at the temple instead of his undivided attention -- BUT
it was ALWAYS easy getting him back on track.

"Oooohhhhh." You moan quietly. The discomfort you feel is
not very pleasurable.

Ardeth grips you harder and delves deeper. His thrusting
turns into pounding. Aggression is behind it.

//Honey you are hurting me.// You project.

He does not listen but grinds into you. You whimper.

He grabs your hair and snarls in Titanese, "You will know!"

Suddenly an image flashes in your mind. It is there for only
a second but enough for you to make out a campfire, Ardeth and a
woman making love. You know it is not you.

"Ardeth?" A muffled voice floats in through the closed door.

He thrusts arcing his hips upward. You yip. A tear streams
out of your eye. His anger grows.

"Ardeth?" The voice calls again. It is Elin.

He stops. His chest heaves with exertion. Ardeth holds you
tightly, still inside of you. Your hands trace his hoping for a
connection.

"Yes?" He answers and grips your hair. You move your hips
feeling him wedged in you.

"We are going into town now." Elin informs sweetly.

"I will be right there." Ardeth answers dryly. He summarily
withdraws and moves you and the hamper out of the way. He places
his erect penis under the faucet and turns on cold water. Ardeth
closes his eyes and scowls. You observe with shock.

Before you can say a word, he has left the bathroom with you
in it.

"She's quite pretty." Elin folds her legs on the sofa.
Ardeth and Qui sit on either side of her.

The rest of the house is dark and silent.

"Yes we know this." Ardeth says placing his wine glass on the
end table beside him.

"ooh. Snippy." Elin turns to Ardeth. Her fingers trace is
smooth exposed chest, "You were always the mouthy one."

Ardeth removes her hand, "And you were always presumptuous."

"Exciting." She corrects tracing the ridge of his nose with
her finger.

Qui shuffles next to her. Elin redirects her attention to
him.

"How long did you court before bonding?"

The Jedi Master gazes at her coolly, "Why?"

He sips his wine.

"I am curious. There is no crime in asking."

"I know how you are, one question always leads to another more
personal one."

"It comes with the job," She sits on her haunches and frowns,
"You know you can never keep things from me. What? Five, six
months?"

Qui replaces the glass. He is agitated. Elin knows this and
shifts tactics.

"Do you have any children?" Elin pivots her head and stares
at the two. "Oh come on. I haven't seen you two in years. I
merely want to get to know you again."

"We have two." Ardeth volunteers.

"Where are they?" She smiles.

"At the temple." Qui answers quietly.

"Why Master Jinn that is excellent news. You two must be very
proud."

"We are." Ardeth gets up and pours himself another glass of
wine.

"So? The both of you? One of you? Boys, girls? What?"

"I have a son, Obi-Wan and Ardeth has a girl Nurit." Qui
gestures to the hollow on the end table.

Elin studies the image intensely. "Ardeth she looks just like
you. Qui, he has your eyes other than that...."

Qui chuckles, "Chana says he is a mixture of both of her
parents. I would not know about mine." He drinks more wine.

She replaces the image, "I should have been their mother."

Ardeth stops pouring.

Your eyes pop open. The room is dark and a thin sheet of
sweat covers you. You glance on either side of you to find the bed
empty. You hobble out of bed still sore from your encounter with
Ardeth and open a window to let in the night desert air.

Laughter and giggles. Muffled enjoyment flows through the
walls. There is more laughter and giggles and then hushed speech.

You decide you are thirsty and head to the kitchen. The light
clicks on and the conversation in the livingroom becomes more
faint. Raucous laughter rings out.

"No. I won't be one of those types." You down the entire
glass, "I refuse to be jealous just because there is a beautiful
women in the midst."

As you amble down the hallway to your room, you glance into
the living room to see Elin sitting on the sofa between Qui-Gon and
Ardeth who are wearing sleep pants and no shirts.

Elin in a fit of giggles, flings herself on Qui-Gon's lap while
her legs swing onto Ardeth's. You feel your heart rip into pieces
when Ardeth caresses Elin's ankle and Qui strokes her golden hair.

She strokes Qui's beard as her slender leg rubs Ardeth's
muscled torso.

"They are old friends besides I should understand." Your eyes
fill with tears. You head for the medicine cabinet and go straight
for a sleeping pill. Your hands tremble. "I should understand."
The pills goes down bitterly, "They would."

You furl your brow at that last sentence in all its
ridiculousness. No. If you brought an old friend who was male
into this house and offered him a place to stay for as long as he
liked not only would Qui withold sex from you, he'd lecture you for
hours on the moral implications of such arrangements and insist
that you tell the man to leave. Ardeth on the other hand would
tell him to find a place in town-- or die, point blank.

You yawn. "But I am not them. I trust them." You climb back
in bed. "It's not the way it seems." You drift off.

You and Swee wearily shuffle into the house. You've spent
the better part of your morning at the doctor's office where you
discover that you and the babies are progressing normally. Still
you swear to yourself you will never take a sleeping pill again
while pregnant.

"Thank the Force." You mutter entering the livingroom.

"You're back." Elin says to you wearing nothing but Qui-Gon's
t-shirt. Actually it was a shirt you bought on base for him. It
was emblazened with the Security Forces logo.

"Oh my!" SWee exclaimes. Her gears and joints hum behind
you.

Elin catches you staring at the shirt.

"I needed something to wear after I cleaned up. My clothes are
being laundered," She smiled like a woman who was not only
comfortable in her own skin but in everyone else's as well.."They
should be ready shortly."

"Where are--?" You begin ready for blood.

"They went into town for supplies."

You toss your purse onto a nearby table. What supplies?
You already went in for supplies BY YOURSELF a week ago. Not to
mention, they promised to go to the doctor with you this morning
but when you reminded them, they said no...they were too busy.

You march pass Elin's scarcely clad body and head for the
kitchen. You are greeted by a sink full of dirty dishes that
weren't there this morning and the remnants of a great meal
strewn across the counter and table.

Obviously you didn't partake in this feast because you had
oatmeal for breakfast this morning. You are so angry you could
scream, instead you opt to swallow your sorrow with berry juice.

"You know, they really are sweet men." Elin comments.

You did not hear her follow you. You take another swig of
juice and park yourself on a stool.

"Madame shall I start cleaning?" SWee asks

You nod switching on the holonet. You're in no mood to talk.
Elin slides onto a seat across from you.

"So they tell me Obi-Wan and Nurit are progressing well at
the Temple."

Your hormones rise and fall by the hour as does your mood.
Your anger has melted away into sorrow. You inhale to compose
yourself.

"I guess. They seem to be. No one tells me anything."

"You know when I first met those two they were inseparable,"
Elin chuckles, "like molecules of water. Though they were never
truly assigned together on a mission, they always managed to stay
together."

You bite your lip and finger the label on the bottle. Is
she playing you? You wonder. You try to raise your mental
shields but it is difficult because your link to your unborn
children will not allow you to do so. Maybe these children will
be force-sensitive too.

"You are lucky to have them. No child could ask for better
fathers."

You manage to raise them enough to keep her out of your head
but you know she will be able to sense strong emotions from you.
But at least she will not be able to mind-trick you. She's not
that strong. At least you hope she isn't.

"Yes. I know." You say half-believing your words.

"Though they are a handful." Elin plays with a utensil on the
counter. Her expression is wistful, "I was experienced and it
was tumultuous with them, I can only imagine what you went
through on your honeymoon." She pauses, "Especially considering
you had never been with a man."

Your eyes slowly meet hers. You do your best to hide your
horror.

"How do you know that? And what do you mean--it was
tumultuous with them?"

"Oh please don't be offended. It is nothing to be ashamed of.
We have always told each other everything."

"Everything." You wriggle your shoulders feeling a kink.

"Everything." She repeated smoothly.

"Well obviously we don't have that type of relationship
because I didn't know any of this."

"Tell me, does Qui-Gon still like to show himself? He is
quite a large man." Elin giggles.

You don't answer. You can't believe your ears.

"I thought so." Elin smirks, "Mind you Ardeth has nothing to
be ashamed of but he's shy. Except when you push his buttons. I
remember a time when they took me together, well needless to say
walking--."

"Why are you telling me this?!! What kind of sick game are
you playing?" You push away from the counter.

"Chana I did not know this would upset you so. I'm sorry I
didn't mean to offend you."

You walk out the room. But for a second, just a second, you
see a triumphant expression on her face before it returns to its
normal mask of serenity.

That night Qui and Ardeth do not return to your bed.

//Am I overreacting?// You stare out the window in your
room because she is out there and you ca no longer stand being in
her presence.

Qui-Gon's copy of the Jedi Code of Philosophy and Ethical
Conduct sits on the window sill next to you. You have been
reading it for sometime and nowhere does it cover bonded couples
and their ex-lovers.

Somewhere in there you were hoping to find a reason for Qui
and Ardeth's behaviour. You were hoping to attribute this to
cultural differences as the result of being brought up in the
temple. Or side effects of being in such close proximity to the
Force. After an hour of reading you have concluded they still
want her and she definitely wants them.

"There you are," Ardeth breezes passed you towards the
closet, "get dressed. We are going into town."

You continue gazing out the window, "I am dressed."

Ardeth stares at your shorts and shirt.

"Be serious. Elin is treating us to dinner." He pats your
plump leg, "Now get dressed."

"You and Qui shared her." You say simply. A cloud of sand
blows on a ridge in the distance. The Sa'red is beautiful.

Ardeth stops pushing his tunic into his trousers.

"Yes." He answers quietly.

"How long were you together?" Your gaze never leaves the
desert. Your babies shift in your stomach. Your son has the
hiccups.

"Did she tell you?" Ardeth resumes his dressing.

"In so many words."

"It is in the past. We are just friends now."

"Ardeth you did not answer my question." You face him not in
the mood to eat his bullshit.

He stops. Mahogany eyes peer at you. "A while."

//He's being cagey.// "Go without me. I'm staying here."

You turn around and stare out the window.

Ardeth grips your arm and forces you to look at him. "Do not
be petty. She is graciously offering us dinner."

"And I am graciously putting a roof over her head. Go with
out me."

"You are going. If you don't, you will insult her and
embarass me." He says through gritted teeth.

"I don't give a shit." You jerk your arm out of his grip.

Ardeth closes his eyes and sighes, "I know you are behaving
this way because you are pregnant."

"Wrong. I'm behaving this way because I am pissed off and
insulted."

"Insulted?" His eyes narrow. "Why?"

"Because my mate has conveniently stashed his ex-girlfriend in
the next room and he's all ready to fuck her."

"That is untrue! How dare you question my honor. And
hers!" Ardeth hissed.

He steps closer to you. His chest heaves as he reigns in
his anger. "Control yourself and monitor your speech."

"You treat me like some cheap whore and you fawn after her.
Admit it, you want her."

"I do not want her," Ardeth growls. "Perhaps she can teach
you a lesson in conduct."

"Oh really? How lady like was it for her to tell me all about
the romps you three had in the sack? She's a fucking bitch and
she wants you." You practically yell. "And I will not tolerate
it."

Ardeth furls his brow, "Control your filthy mouth! I will
not allow you to call her out of her name!"

"Keep your voice down!" The bedroom door slams. Both of
you look back and see Qui-Gon sternly staring at you two.

"Chana why aren't you dressed?" Qui's voice is a low
rumble.

Ardeth steps away in a gruff. He continues dressing, "She
refuses to go."

"Why not?" Qui rubs his beard, a tell-tale sign of his
agitation.

"You have your girlfriend. You don't need me."

"Chana what are you implying?"

"I saw you three on the couch last evening. You looked
lovely together. How far did you go after I went to sleep?"

The muscle in Qui's face tightens.

"Nothing happened." He answers quietly.

"Qui-Gon Jinn are you sure?" You challenge. "Little miss
fuck-me in there seems to imply otherwise."

Ardeth freezes.

"We did nothing," Qui's gaze is fierce, "She is an
honorable knight."

"So I've heard. If she has enough money for dinner why can't
she rent a room in town?" You stare him down. "How long is she
gonna stay? She can't sleep on the couch forever. Or will you
evict your children so she can have the spare room?"

The ceramic lamp on the nightstand shatters.

"Chana I am unwilling to verbally fence with you," Qui
growls, "Get dressed we're going to dinner."

"Apparently you didn't hear me the first time. I'm not going
anywhere." You bark. Anger grows deep within you. You return
to your window seat.

"Elin has been going through difficult times. She wishes
to fellowship with us. And you will comply," Qui steps to you.
He leans forward and says coldly, "Get dressed now."

"I am not a child to be ordered around and I said no. Now
you either go without me or none of you will be eating at all."
You warn.

Qui backs off and turns around. He appears to be composing
himself.

"Chana do not make this any worse!" Ardeth commands, "I am
tired of this foolishness. Nothing happened and there is nothing
between us."

A faint tapping at the door draws everyone attention.

"Yes?" Qui answers. His back is to you.

"Is everything all right?" Elin asks amiably.

You can tell underneath all that sugar flows a stream of
piss.
"Everything is fine." Qui-Gon answers with the barest
measure of composure.

You sigh as a wave sadness flows through the room. It
obviously eminates from Elin.

//She's so full of it.//

"She needs our help," Qui pivots around, "and we will be
there."

"Maybe if she was a better knight she wouldn't need our
help." You mock.

"She is a skilled knight. Far more capable than you." He
asserts with obvious anger and offense.

You stand up and smirk, "She's got nothing a shot to the back
of the head won't cure."

That did it. Qui's blue eyes constrict and darken.

Elin finishes buckling her boots as Qui and Ardeth exit the
master bedroom. Before the door closes she catches a glimpse of
you sobbing, your arms are folded protectively as you stand
against a wall.

"Chana will be out shortly." Qui says in a tone that warns
not to ask any more questions. He walks quietly out the door and
into the light of the setting sun.

Elin walks between Ardeth and Qui. They are several yards in
front of you jovially chatting. Dinner was miserable to say the
least. The food was too spicy for you to eat and no one talked
to you during the entire meal. Needless to say, you're still
hungry.
You pass by the shops which remain open languidly examining
their wares. A shimery blue satin scarf glides in the breeze
catching your eye. You touch the cool fabric wanting it
immediately.

"I just received it today." The shop keeper says. "It is
nice."

"More than nice. It's beautiful." You purr and hold it
against your face. Smooth, soft and cool. "How much?"

"Twenty dactari."

You grin and open your purse. You see that you only have
five. You caress the fine fabric again. You know Qui and Ardeth
have more money. You look ahead, they are still walking and
talking.

"Never mind." You say quietly.

The shop keeper nods as you move on. You go to a produce
vender and buy a piece of fruit. You hungrily bite into it and
continue strolling. The three are far ahead of you and don't
seem to notice your absence.

"Chana? Chana Fey-Jinn?" A male's voice calls behind you.

You turn. Your eyes greet Russell Garr, a former teammate and
friend. You did two tours with him.

"Russell?" You turn your head.

"I knew it was you."

You two hug warmly.

"How are you?" You beam. He stills wears what the service
calls white walls, hair cut razor short on the top and sides.
The cut is so blunt you can see the color of the wearers' scalp
peeking through the hair.

Sgt. Russell Garr was your running buddy. You guys ran
point together, jump school, basic training and more importantly-
-- raised a whole lot of hell together. Whenever the chips were
down Russ had your back.

"I'm great. How are you?"

"I'm fine." You gesture at him, "I see you're out of
uniform."
"I didn't wear that thing all the time. Besides I'm out."

"Really? Since when?"

"Officially? Yesterday." He grins and blushes.

"Watch out. Civilian life is more dangerous than a rookie
going operational for the first time."

"So I've heard." Russell flashes you a charming grin.

"How is Becca?" You ask truely interested. They were newly
married when you left active duty.

"She was killed last year in a dispute with the Trade
Federation."

"I'm sorry." You finish the rest of the fruit and toss it in a
bin.

"Yea me too. It's tough but slowly I'm putting my life back
together. Do you miss it? The shootin' and lootin', the
transports...nights in the cantinas." Hazel eyes study you
fondly.

"Sometimes I do," A grin crosses your lips, "damn when it was
good it was good...but that last mission took something out of
me."

You find talking with Russell easy. But then it always was.

"Oh, yea you left soon after that." He shakes his head, "We
were all shitin' bricks for a long time. Thank the Force you
made it. Did you carry to term?"

"Yep. A little girl."

He looks around, "Where is she?"

"She's at the Temple training."

"A knight?" He nods impressed, "I'm sure Becca would have
wanted that. She was never really crazy about The Forces."

"Neither was Qui and Ardeth. You planning on rebonding?"

"Chana I don't know." He paces, "When she died, I literally
felt a part of me go with her. That's devasting."

"I can't imagine."

"You know what it's like to be on the other side though. Too
almost touch the ethereal plane is incredible."

"To tell you the truth I don't remember much. And I'm also
not in a hurry to try and experience it again."

"I hear ya."

You both chuckle.

"Anyways, you look great." Russell gestures grandly,
"You're positively glowing. But then again you never had a
problem in the looks department."

Embarassed you stare at the ground. Lately you haven't felt
so pretty.

Your hands caress the lose material around your stomach.

"I'm expecting." You nod and smile.

"Really?" He grins all teeth. "May I?"

You shrug, "Sure."

His hands hesitantly touch your belly. Then they firmly
rest upon it. As if on cue, your babies kick.

"Whoa." Russell declared, "That's incredible."

"You think that's something try being on the receiving end of
it."

"Now I can't imagine."

"When you and I first met, being a mom was the furthest thing
from my mind." You declare laughing.

He laughs along with you, "Hey don't tell me space stories.
I use to play Sabacc with you."

"You tried to play Sabacc with me. I just got all your
money."

"That's probably why I stopped playing with you." He circles
you, "The way you were with kids, including the base brats...you
were a natural." Russell pauses as if he is going to say
something and he thinks better of it.

"Chana." Qui says behind you.

Your smile disappears. You pause, "Russell, you remember
Qui-Gon."

He shakes the Master's hand, "Yes I do. It is good to see
you again. Ardeth it's a pleasure."

Qui and Ardeth peer at Russell stoically. Their typical
mask of serenity is replaced with acrimony.

Now they are embarassing you. Russell's gaze is firmly
locked upon you. He never did intimidate easily.

"Give me a call sometime. We'll have lunch."

You nod slightly. Qui-Gon guides you away.

Ardeth stares at the blowing sand. You approach him from behind
carefully shutting the patio door behind you. You nervously rub
your belly feeling your little ones shuffle inside of you. Their
constant movement is comforting. It tells you that they are
alive and well.

His wavy sable hair bounces gently in the breeze. You
wonder if your son will have his hair or yours. Ardeth glimpses
over his shoulder at you. He looks despondent as he sits on an
old wooden chair.

"You were suppose to have thrown this away." He says
staring in the distance.

You advance with consternation. You are tired of fighting
and being upset. You miss him. Hostility drives a wedge in your
relationship depriving you both of friendship and affection.

"I keep forgetting." You grimace and squat in front of him.

He does not look at you, "I am still angry with you."

"I am sorry." You say blinking back tears. "I am. It's
just that she said some things--."

Mahogany eyes peer at you. He is furious, "Chana. I don't
care."

You tire and kneel on the sand. You grasp his tattooed
hands. You move closer. You try to kiss him. He turns away.
Ardeth obstructs your shared link. It's as if someone has
severed your limb. A rivulet flows from your eyes.

Dejected, you return to the house. You see no sign of Elin.
You walk out the front door to where Qui-Gon is sitting admist
the imported furniture you received as gift from Ardeth's family.

Qui's eyes are closed. He is meditating.

The Jedi Master's eyes open to find you sitting across from
him.

"When I am gone, will I be able to trust you?" Qui asks calm
and composed.

"Of course." You choke. You have been awashed in emotions
as of late. Now more threaten to escape, "Why would you ask
that?"

"Garr. You let him touch you."

You shake your head amazed at his naivete. "Qui I'm
pregnant. People always want to touch a pregnant woman's belly.
It's one of those facts of life."

The air is alive, it almost moves. Qui's discomfort radiates
outward, "You didn't have to allow it."

Okay fine maybe he was right. But where did this come from?
"It was harmless. Nothing."

"Will you have lunch with him?" Qui-Gon finally looks at you.
His gaze is cool and even. The mark of a seasoned negotiator.

"Possibly."

"And will you allow him to visit you when we are not home?"

"I don't know. Why? Don't you trust me?"

"Trust seems to be at a premium in this relationship. Perhaps
there is a reason for it. His interest in you remains," Blue
eyes peer at you, "though you carry another man's child."

Aghast, you shake your head, "I don't know anything about
that. All I know is that he's not living here. And we did not
have a romantic relationship nor will we. He is just a friend.
A friend I have not seen in ages."

"Did you enjoy his touch?"

"Qui don't do this." You wipe your tears.

"Did he have you before me?"

"You know you were my first!"

"So you have said." Qui sighs, "I've been told that it is a
simple procedure done by any medical droid."

Slap! Qui's own hand could not have hit you harder than
those words. His words have killed your heart.

New tears stream down your face.

How can he even think this?!! You lovingly gave your
virginity to he and Ardeth on your honeymoon. For five years you
have willingly rearranged your entire life because of your love
for them. And still it is no proof of your life-long
committment?

"So...I'm a slut because an old buddy of mine touched my
stomach and you're honorable-- regardless of the fact that your
ex-girlfriend is living under the same roof as your pregnant
lifemate?" You purse your lips, "Right."

Qui-Gon stands up suddenly. He brushes passed you, "I have
arranged for most of my stipend to be sent here. I will take
care of my obligations."

You sniffle and wipe your face. "What do you mean?"

"I am tired of fighting. Chana I can not take on the galaxy
and then come here and fight you. Today I saw a part of myself I
do not like."

You shake your head vehemently, "NO!! I will not let you
go!! You are mine! MINE!! I will not--," Something strikes
your conscience suddenly. "--let her have you." You yawn. You
shake it off. A voice is telling you to go to bed.

He shakes his head. Unwilling to listen, Qui attempts to
leave. You follow him and step in his path.

"Jinn do not give up on us so easily." You stumble.

"I am not," He closes his eyes, "I need some time."

"No you don't. We will be fine. I just...I just." You yawn
again. Something is terribly wrong. "I just need to get some
sleep. I mean, in the midst of my anger, my love has not
died..."

Another thrash at your conscience. You can barely keep your
eyes open. Qui observes you curiously. You want to speak but
you cannot.

You reach for him but your arm is too heavy to lift. It
falls back to your side. You stiffly turn around and march back
into the house. Someone is doing this to you. It has to be
Elin. You are too sleepy for words.

//Go to bed now.// Elin's voice bellows in your head.

Normally mind trickery would not work on you because of your
bonding with Qui and Ardeth. Their shared mental awareness
protects you from such trickery, unless they are perpetrating it.
However your pregnancy has negated your full contact with them in
favor of the one you share with your unborn children.

The desperate need to sleep shoots through your body. Your
babies stop moving. You're frightened. You can't make it to the
bedroom. You need help. They are immobile. Are they okay?
They do not respond to you.

//ARDETH!!// Your mind screams before the world goes black.

Qui observes Elin moving out of the shadows. He has been
aware of her presence for sometime but was too preoccupied to
care. He has had many arguments, disagreements and discussions
with you but this time it was different.

//Is Elin right when she says that a relationship outside
the Order is an experiment bound for failure?//

A couple of days ago if asked he would have undoubtedly said
that you're triune bond was stronger than the gravity of the
greatest star. But now Qui wasn't so sure. To have been pushed
so far as to threaten you has broken his resolve.

//Why is she so jealous? Why does she feel so threatened?//
Qui-Gon leaned his immense frame upon a railing, //Why does she
not trust that I will make the right decision?//

Qui recalls Elin's first evening. He could see no
improprieties. He, Elin and Ardeth are good friends who behaved
the same way they always have.

//Or had we?// He sighs missing you already, //I am so
exhausted.//

Elin strokes his beard and beckons him to sit.

"My heart goes out to you Master." Elin's warm palm rests
against his cheek. "I heard more than I wished. I am sorry for
your sadness."

"She is a wonderful person. I do not understand..."

"Shhhhh." Elin places a delicate kiss on his forehead.

Qui's mind refuses to settle. It seeks an answer that is
not readily available.

"I need to meditate."

Elin strokes his hair, "You always did that too much.
Sometimes the answer is before you not inside you."

Her hands wander to his legs and squeezes, "It was a mistake
to end things the way we did so long ago. I see that now."

Qui shakes his head, "We were not suitably matched. It was
for the best. Our relationship was too destructive together.
The battles Ardeth and I had over you--."

Elin moves in closer, "Some part of you must have liked it,
for you two now share another."

"It was the will of the Force that united us." Qui-Gon says
thinking of you when he finally looks at Elin, "We do not fight
as much with her. Usually there is peace."

A disturbance in the Force and a sense of urgency calls
Ardeth into the house. He frowns as he scans the interior
searching for the imbalance which has disturbed his link with
you.

As he nears the hallway, his heart races and breathing
excelerates. He blinks convulsively beholding your unconscious
body.

Ardeth rushes to your side, "Chana!"

Your body is cold. You're completely motionless. Fear
attacks him. He tries to hold it at bay and checks your pulse.
You are still alive. The knight gathers the Force around him and
taps into it. He reaches out to his children. There is no
response.

Profuse salty tears leak from his eyes as he lifts your limp
body and transports it to the bed.

He strokes your hair, "Chana can you hear me?" He pulls you
close holding you tight. His mind taps into yours. The Force
tells him that you are in a deep sleep almost to the point of
coma.
Ardeth knows if kept under for too long your mind will be
unable to regain consciousness.

//I can not lose you.// He clutches your limp body.
Despite everything, there is nothing you can say or do which will
cause him to wish harm upon you.

He rocks back and forth, "Who could have done this to you?"

Ardeth turns his head toward the bedroom door knowing the
answer too well.

Qui pushes Elin away. Her kiss was passionate and arousing.
But not what he wanted.

"No this is wrong." He pushes her to her seat.

Elin moves in again this time nearly climbing into his lap.
Her tongues enters his mouth. Qui barely reciprocates before
pushing her away.

"I can not."

"Why? You two are through. I can make you happy."

"No. This is not right. I love her."

Elin rolls her eyes, "What? Please. She is not right for
you, I am. Remember what we had? We can have that again."

"That was in the past. I made a promise to she and Ardeth."

"If you are so committed then why do you still want me? I
know it. It is written in your heart and on your body."

"You are beautiful. Very beautiful but I was wrong. I see
that now. You must leave."

"You can't be serious." Elin asserts jumping up.

"It is best that you go willingly before I make you." Ardeth
asserts from the doorway.

Qui whips around. Ardeth glares at Elin.

"Qui-Gon she fooled me as well." Ardeth approaches Elin
seething, "But now I see. My family comes first and I'll be
damned if I let you harm them!"

Elin pales. Her hand falls to her side nearing her sheathed
saber.

"Do it." Ardeth warns.

Qui-Gon stands between them, "Ardeth what is going on?"

"Chana and our children are unconscious in the bedroom."

Qui's head turns slowly. Blue eyes turn dark with rage.

You are warm. Very warm. You awaken and find yourself
underneath blankets. Qui-Gon clutches you from behind. His cool
breath falls on your neck. Ardeth is inches away from your face.

//How long have I been out?//

Through your bond you reach out to your babies. They do not
move. Are they okay? Fear leaps to your heart. You
concentrate. tendrils of the Force swirl in your mind. It
speaks to you, they are fine. They are resting. Sleeping.

//My love you are awake.// Qui projects to you. He loosens
his grasp while you turn and face him.

His features are puffy from sleep, as you know yours to be.
You caress his face, touching his nose, beard and cheeks.

You involuntarily weep. //You are here.//

He nods.

//To stay?// Your chin quivers hoping beyond hope.

//Yes. I misjudged her and I misjudged you. I am sorry.
Will you forgive me?//

//Only if you forgive me for saying those awful things.//

Qui-Gon pulls you into an embrace. You squeeze tightly
inhaling his musky scent and comforting warmth.

Your lips meet. Through that kiss you feel a renewed
connection to him.

"I was so worried," he mouths silently.

"Chana?" Ardeth whispers behind you.

You roll sluggishly, your stomach making the maneuver a
little difficult, too see him.

He can never mask his emotions from you. Sorrow is all over
his face. You kiss him immediately. You break away only for
lack of air.

"You are better." His trembling hands strokes your cheek. "I
found you..."

He attempts to turn away, embarrassed at his anguish. You
don't allow him. You two cling to each other.

"Thank you for answering me." You sob.

....Days later

You are thoroughly recovered and so are your babies. It was
strange not feeling them move but gradually the sleep suggestion
dissipated and they returned to their normal selves giving you
indigestion and keeping you on the toilet in the process.

You sit in the living room combing your wet hair. Soft
music plays and you hum along. From hour to hour, day to day
your body changes and reacts with your hormones. Right now you
are horny. Actually you have been for a couple of days but
Ardeth and Qui-Gon will not touch you. They are concerned for
the children.

Why are they this fickle now? You wander. During your
other pregnancies they couldn't keep their hands off of you...not
that you were complaining.

What's the point of being bonded to two gorgeous men if you
can't have sex with them?

//This frustration ends now. I gotta have some.//

The refresher turns off.

"Qui-Gon! Ardeth!" You recline on the sofa.

Ardeth wanders in from the nursery and Qui from the
refresher.

"Chana, did you throw away the instructions for the swing?"
Ardeth studies a datapad.

"Lemme see that?" You frown lounging.

He hands it to you. You toss it behind the sofa. Ardeth
gives you a withering glare.

"Do I need to be here for this?" Qui asks toweling his wet
hair and naked body.

"Yes you do." With some effort you climb off the sofa. You
walk over to the chair where Qui-Gon is and you stand upon it.
You pull him into a breathtaking kiss.

When you break away Qui's eyes are glazed. You motion for
Ardeth to come to you. He readily pulls you into a kiss. His
tongue wrestles with yours.

"I need you two now." You whisper inches away from Ardeth.
You clasp Qui's hand.

"Is it good for the babies?" Qui asks.

"What's good for me is good for the babies." You purr pushing
your tongue into his mouth before he can answer.

Your pajama shirt falls to the floor. Qui's beard is
bristly and dense. Your lips press to his chin. Calloused hands
caress your body. Qui's hands explore your shoulders, back and
breasts. Ardeth nibbles your back pulling you to his muscular
frame.

You suckle the nipples of Qui's chest. He moans with
pleasure. Ardeth's moist breath tickles your sensitive neck, he
nips you leaving a mark. Firm lips crush against the crook of
your neck.

You crane your ass into Ardeth, he wantonly clutches your
hips. Qui bruises the delicate skin on your breasts hungrily
mouthing them.

Panting breaths and moist bodies press to one another. You
step off the chair and go for Qui's large cock. He growls as you
take his long member into your mouth.

Ardeth pulls you away and sits you in a chair. You yelp
with pleasure as he licks your folds and dives into your center.
He licks you dry. You lick the tip of Qui's elongated member.

You mouth Ardeth's erect penis from base to tip. The oozing
tip smears it's cream on your chin and lips. Qui stands behind
you, he holds you firmly and sinks into you. Ardeth writhes on
his back moaning loudly as Qui-Gon holds his position grasping
your hips. You wiggle begging for motion.

Up and down you bob stroking Ardeth. The master's arrested
pose is planned torture.

You ride the master hard bouncing up and down while strong
protective arms pull his chest to you. You beckon Ardeth to
approach. He is so hard his cock curves to his abdomen. He
whimpers as you mouth his sac and stroke his penis.

"Chana oh... Force." Ardeth whimpers. The pictures on the
wall shake.

Qui-Gon growls and thrusts upward into you and holds. He is
close. Your muscles clench him as you grind your hips feeling
his tip hitting your stomach. Your eyes tear.

"Chana." Qui-Gon groans, "I need to come."

You cup Ardeth's sac, his organ slides deeper down your
throat. Ardeth's hips move rhythmically. You feel you may pass
out from pleasure. Gods it feels so good!!

Ardeth's bucking is more fierce though he tries to control it.
He grunts with closed eyes and clenched teeth. You fondle his
sac and rock with Qui's thrusting. The master roughly massages
your clit sending you over the edge. Your muscles contract
around him. You pull away to voice your scream.

"Baby I--!" Ardeth declares and shoots his load. He spurts
on your mouth and chin. Your mouth covers the erupting head and
sucks forcefully causing him to yell.

He grimaces. His hips buck in rhythm with your sucking.
You suck him dry.

Ardeth stumbles away almost collapsing to the floor with
exhaustion. His slackened penis only a quarter it's original
size.

Suddenly Qui lifts you and turns. He pounds wildly into
you, his body screams for release. You stare at the matress
screaming your climax again. Qui thrusts ferociously. You hear
a crack as the headboard damages the wall. You arc your hips
just so. He hits your spot. Tears stream down your face with
pleasure. Qui sinks deep jerkily thrusting.

"Yes love..." Qui-Gon growls and grunts as he explodes
inside of you.

Your muscles clench squeezing more from him. You moan
feeling him coat your insides, his hot semen warming you--
completing you. He pumps emptying himself of every drop.

You pant, Qui's flaacid member slides out of you. You both
are shaky but happy. Your slick thighs dry in the air, as you
pull a dozing Ardeth out of the chair kissing him. He is so
tired he barely responds back.

"Heart of mine, I need respite." His voice is barely above
a whisper.

"Rest." You nod. You both climb into bed. You place
yourself in between them. It is your residence. It is where you
belong. You lay on your side because it is more comfortable.

Qui sighs on his back and pulls you close.

//I want to go again.// You muse. Qui and Ardeth's scent on
your body arouses you once again. It is as if they have marked
you as theirs.

"Rest." The master warns. His eyes are closed.

"I will let you." You murmur on Qui's strong chest. Ardeth
holds you burying his face in your hair. He sleeps.

"This time more than forty-five minutes." Qui murmurs
stroking your hand.

The master's mind entwines with yours and then links with
Ardeth's. You feel their drowsiness, you feel their contentment.
You all share your love. You drift into happy but exhausted
sleep.
