search Title: Hidden Meanings Series
"Elevator Ride"

Author: SaraC
Rating: NC-17
Spoilers: AOTC (AU however)
Pairing: Obi/Ani (slash)
Archive: The usual lists/places that archive me, anyone else just ask!
Summary: Thoughts during the 'elevator ride'

Disclaimer: All characters belong to George Lucas

Notes & Dedication: This is the first of what could be a series of vingettes dealing with hidden meanings in some AOTC scenes. Of course, it's AU, since in my thoughts, Obi and Ani are involved in their own tempestuous relationship. Seriously though, it comes from too many viewings of AOTC with my wonderful friend and beta SomeJediGirl, who puts up with me going off on how I could see 'slash' potential in various scenes. Thanks dear!

Anakin swallowed hard as the elevator climbed higher and higher. He pulled at the collar of his tunics, feeling a bead of sweat trickle down the hollow of his neck. He'd been nervous before, but never like this. In just a few moments, he'd be seeing Padme for the first time in 10 years.

Obi-Wan sighed to himself, hiding his amusement as he watched his padawan sweat. It was sweet in a way, his anticipation mixed with worry over what Senator Amidala would think of him. He felt a slight twinge of pain as he realized that despite the worry, the fear of the unknown, Anakin would have a future with the young woman they were about to meet again. The Force had set them on that path long ago he knew, but he still found himself resenting it at times as he looked as his handsome young apprentice.

Jealousy was not an emotion befitting a Jedi, and he had believed himself immune to it, until he'd watched Anakin's eyes spark at the mention of the former Queen. It had sent a sharp pain through his body, but had quickly been forced down, buried deep where Anakin and the other Jedi could never find it.

He sighed again as he watched Anakin shuffle nervously. He was already losing him.

Anakin stopped fidgeting as he felt the troubled thoughts his master was trying to tamp down. Since he'd heard they were to be assigned to guard the former Senator, he had been thinking of nothing but her. Would she remember him? Would she find him much changed? Would she find him attractive? Silly worries for a Jedi, but ones he held none the less.

He knew his master was doing his best to ease his worry, had been trying to make him relax all afternoon. But now, he sensed something else, an unrest, an unease in his master that bordered on sadness. It was something buried deep that Obi-Wan obviously did not want revealed. Using a gentle mental push, he frowned to find his master's shields locked tightly. Unusual, but not unexpected. He knew how to work around it. With one quick pull of a button on the elevator panel, he set his plan in motion.

"Anakin, what are you doing?" Obi-Wan began, frowning as his apprentice pulled the emergency stop button and the lift jerked to a halt. He felt his breath catch as Anakin slowly advanced towards his corner of the elevator. The expression in those dark eyes sent a shiver of arousal through his body.

Not an appropriate reaction when they had a Senator awaiting them several floors above.

"Padawan, now is not the time," he began, but if he were honest, there was not much conviction in his voice as Anakin's face neared his, his apprentice's hot breath now coming in puffs against his face.

"No Master, I think now is the perfect time," Anakin breathed, enjoying the way Obi-Wan's eyes turned heated with desire at their close proximity. "Something is troubling you and I won't stop until I find out what it is," he whispered, sending another mental probe into his master's mind.

Obi-Wan quickly strengthened his shields, determined that Anakin would not sense the turmoil inside him.

"I am fine Anakin, it is you who should be concentrating on what you are going to say to the Senator after all these years," he tried, stopping at the light in Anakin's eyes. He swallowed hard, knowing what that look meant.

"And worry I will, but not until you tell me what troubles you, please Master," he whispered, leaning in to brush his lips across the smooth, firmness of Obi-Wan's mouth.

Obi-Wan couldn't hold back a groan as he felt Anakin's kiss. He had missed the feeling, since it had been several weeks since they'd been together. If there was one thing his apprentice knew how to do, it was kiss. Something he had a feeing the lovely young Senator would be finding out soon enough.

He quickly caught himself, burying the jealous thought again, hoping Anakin had missed it.

But the apprentice had been waiting for just such a break. Taking advantage of the slight opening, even as Obi-Wan began to shield, he slipped inside for a moment, catching a fragment before Obi-Wan forced him back out.

"Anakin!" Obi-Wan managed, trying to sound harsh, not surprised to find the words emerged more like a harsh whisper.

Anakin refused to feel guilty, for in that instant, he'd sensed what Obi-Wan was hiding, and a part of him had softened.

His master was worried about losing him. Losing him to Padme to be more precise. The knowledge that Obi-Wan could feel jealousy, an emotion he himself had felt many times before watching Obi-Wan with others, was like a balm to his soul. It was a sense of comfort, security and rightness that he hadn't realized he'd been missing until now.

And it was time to do something about it.

"Don't worry Master, you won't lose me," he whispered, seeing the surprise register in the elder Jedi's eyes. Before Obi-Wan could utter even a startled reply, Anakin captured his lips in a deep, passionate kiss. He sighed as he felt Obi-Wan's lips open to his, his master's tongue immediately reaching to duel with his, hands sliding to his waist to hold him tightly against his hardening body.

Obi-Wan allowed himself to get lost in the sensation for a moment, knowing that this was wrong, knowing they could be discovered at any minute, but suddenly, he found he just didn't care. With a small moan he latched his hands around Anakin's padawan braid and pulled his apprentice hard against him, the kiss turning almost bruising in its intensity.

Anakin couldn't help but moan as he felt Obi-Wan's response, delighting in the fact it was he who could draw such a response from the man in his arms. Pressing his hips tightly to his master's, Anakin rubbed his erection against Obi-Wan's thigh, feeling the answering hardness press back against him. W

Without stopping to think, knowing their time was short, he reached for Obi-Wan's belt, releasing it and throwing it to the floor as he loosened the tunics. Reaching down, he found the evidence of Obi-Wan's desire for him, felt it straining against his hand as he cupped it gently.

"Anakin!"

Obi-Wan knew the strangled cry was anything but a denail. His erection was hard and throbbing, the familiar feel of Anakin's strokes making the pleasure even more intense. But this was the wrong place, the wrong time, he had to stop it.

"No master, no one will find us," Anakin soothed, reading Obi-Wan's mind as he quickened his strokes, able now to feel the waves of his master's pleasure in the Force around him. He felt the slight resistance and knew he had to overcome it as quickly as possible. Without another word, he jerked Obi-Wan's trousers down with one hand, then dropped to his knees before his master could do more than groan.

"Let me Master, please," he whispered, allowing his hot breath to brush over the tip of the straining flesh he held in one hand. All he had to do was look up into the fiery orbs, now a deep, dark blue, nearly black with desire, to receive his answer.

In one quick motion, he took Obi-Wan's length deep into his throat, hearing his master's hoarse shout at the move. Moving quickly, he began to employ every trick he'd ever learned, many from this man himself, to bring Obi-Wan to an earth-shattering climax. Using teeth, lips, tongue and hands, he brought his master to the very edge of oblivion.

"Anakin, please!"

Obi-Wan could only beg, his hands clenched into fists in his apprentice's short hair. The feel of Anakin's lips, his mouth encompassing his staff was almost too much to bear. He needed release, he needed to feel Anakin take all of him, to drink deeply of his essence, to know how deeply he loved the young man on his knees before him.

Anakin sensed all his master was trying to say and with a smile, allowed Obi-Wan release. He swallowed again and again as he felt his master shake and shudder against him, the force of his relief almost palpable in the air around them. When the shivering had finally stopped, Anakin released his prize, pulling back to lick his lips as he watched the sated expression appear in those beautiful blue-green eyes.

Obi-Wan returned the gaze, allowing his contentment to flow over his apprentice, hoping it conveyed the love he felt for him. While the worry still lingered, this little demonstration had shown him that though his padawan might one day love Padme, he would never be far from Anakin's thoughts or desires.

"You never will be Master, no matter what happens, I will always be with you," Anakin murmured softly as he rose to his feet, planting a soft kiss on the swollen lips as he straightened his clothing. He sensed he had put some of his master's worries to rest, and for the moment, it would have to do. He could figure out a way to do more once they had a little more time and a lot more privacy.

Smiling as he read the understanding in Obi-Wan's eyes, he reached over and pushed the button on the lift panel. As it began to move upward again, he felt the nervousness he'd pushed aside return full force. When the doors opened, he would be face to face with the woman who'd haunted his dreams on and off for the past 10 years. It was a little nerve wracking to say the least.

"Relax, deep breaths," Obi-Wan offered quietly, sensing the unease return, smiling as Anakin swallowed.

"I haven't seen her in 10 years Master," he replied in a nervous tone.

Obi-Wan simply sighed and smiled slightly as the lift came to a stop, noting Anakin smiled back, even if it was a rather tense, nervous smile at the most. Taking a deep breath, he waited for the doors to open, feeling a little better about what was to come.
