Prologue

They have known one another all their lives. Shared their ups and downs,
happiness and joys, tears and pains. But then Khameir vanished and came back
to her before she reached to point of depressions' death. He came to her in
the night, holding her in his arms, older and ever darker than she had known
him to be. Yet, she still cared so deeply for him that it did not ever
matter. He remained for as long as he dared, knowing that he must return to
from whence he had come. He stepped back from her and with one last look, he
slipped into the concealing shadows of her room…and then he was gone.

Their silent good bye.

Many years passed and in the darkness of night once again, he came,
returning to his longtime friend, awaking her with the slightest of a touch
upon her soft skin by his black leather covered fingertips. And when she
found him there, she was instantly in his arms once she realized he was
there. She cried as she realized that she loved him with all that she is and
just how much she truly missed him, despite the new darkness and intense
dark energies emanating from him and surrounding her.

Her beloved Khameir had finally returned to her, and with the ignited
light of the room, she finally looked upon him for the first time in many
years. He was not the man she once knew, yet she cared not, he was there
with her, holding her in his arms, his lips finally kissing hers. All is
what she had so desired, ached, fantasized, wanted and yearned for for so
long.

And that night, in the flickering candle and oil light of her room, they
for the first time became one in body, mind, heart, soul and emotion – a
bond that can never be broken ever again. He was hers just as much as she
was his – always and forever, time the end of time and time beyond – for all
eternity. Moving to the eternal dance of life.

He holds to her in his arms, cradling her as her head lies against his
chest, eyes closed as they regain their breaths.

"Hold me…never let go of me – ever again." She murmurs, tears slipping
from her closed eyes as she holds the blanket about her with one hand while
the other is held in his.

He lets a soft chuckle and smiles lucidly as he looks down upon her in his
arms.

"I will never let you go – ever again." He answers softly, brushing his
lips against the still burning skin of her forehead.

She raises her head, turning her eyes to his.

"I love you Khameir Sarin…Darth Maul."

And so the story continues…

She rests in his arms, sighing as she hears Khameir's strong heart beat in
his powerful chest under her ear, the warmth of his body against hers in the
cool night air of her room. She is in an utter whimsical, out of body – like
state of being.

Khameir shifts slightly under her, his chest rubbing against her ear,
pulling her gently from her reverie and she raises her body slightly from
his to allow him to shift his position. And when he finds his comfort, she
lays her head against him once again, closing her eyes as she feels the
wonderful pull of sleep drag her into the darkness of unconsciousness.

Khameir feels her body grow heavy against his and the regularity of her
slow breathing, her hot breath against the bares skin of his chest. He lets
out a slow soft sigh.

"So beautiful." Khameir whispers softly into her hair as his lips rest
upon the top of her head, breathing in the refreshing scent of her lustrous
hair.

Khameir holds to her as he allows his beloved to sleep in his arms, his
eyes closed but his senses always at their peak and very alert. And then he
senses the intense rush of the dark energies within him and about him – his
eyes instantly popping open.

Hastily but with great gentleness, Khameir slips from under his beloved's
sleeping body, laying her back upon the pillows and standing from the bed.
He moves to the nearby glass doors to the balcony and opening them, he falls
to his knees as a gust of wind blows through the open doors – sending the
light, sheer black drapes to dance in the strong breeze about him.

"Yes my Master." Khameir speaks, his head bowed, looking to the carpeted
floor as a spectral dark figure appears before him, blotting out the light
of the full moon directly behind the figure. The dark figure fully appears
before Khamier – a man dressed in a hooded black robe, the dark shadows of
the hood hiding the face of the man except his lips and chin.

"Ah, Darth Maul." The mysterious dark man speaks, looking down upon
Khameir kneeling before him as naked as the day of his birth. "You are to
return immediately. You are to undertake a mission most dire."

"Yes, my Master." Khameir returns, not once raising his eyes to look upon
the dark man standing before him.

Then the dark man just slightly raises his eyes from Khameir and looks at
the surroundings and notices the sleeping feminine figure nestled
comfortably upon the bed not far away. And returning his eyes back to
Khameir, Darth Maul, the dark man lets out a slow silent sigh.

"Bring her with if you so wish." And with that, the dark man vanishes and
Khameir slowly rises to his feet and looks upon the large full moon before
him now. Then Khameir turns toward the bed and his sleeping beloved and
crosses his arms across his chest as he watches her sleep so soundly where
he had been sitting behind her – the energies and strength of him still
lingering where he had been and it soothes her as she sleeps.

"So beautiful." Khameir speaks softly again.

~ Part II ~

Night.

Slowly she opens her eyes, yawning softly as she stretches her limbs in
her bed. And she then realizes that she is alone in her bed. Instantly she
sits up in the bed and begins to search the room for any sign of Khameir and
quickly sighs in relief as she finds Khameir leaning against the inside of
the frame of the open doors to the balcony, his arms crossed over his chest,
looking out to the forest surrounding her home. And Khameir is redressed in
his black clothing.

But just as soon as she lets out another sigh, his head turns to her and
she sees his fiery golden yellow and red eyes upon her, a soft smile playing
on his lips. His arms fall from about his chest and he sits up from the
doorframe and moves toward the bed to her.

She smiles sweetly as she sits up on the bed, her arms about her knees,
the blanket wrapped loosely about her, her violet eyes watching the hem of
his skirts dance about his legs as he moves toward her.

Standing before her, Khameir lowers down to her and kisses his beloved
softly upon her lips, savoring her sweet soft lips against his, the warmth
her skin has and the sweet smell of the scent about her.

Moments pass like minutes and finally he rises from her, taking a deep
breath and letting her scent fill his lungs as he pulls away from her. Again
she smiles sweetly and licks her lips with the very tip of her tongue to
taste of the sweetness Khameir had left upon her lips from his kiss.

"I must depart." Khameir suddenly exclaims with an even tone, instantly
surprising his beloved, her eyes filled with confusion and despair, unsure
what to make of Khameirs revelation.

Khameir sees the look in her eyes and the despair, but he senses much more
from her than what is on the outside. She is filled with utter sorrow –
having just shared a most ancient, intimate and special of unions, and the
return of her long missing best friend and love.

Khameir sits before her upon the edge of the bed, looking upon his beloved
as he takes her hands into his black leather gloved ones, looking into her
dark glowing violet eyes with his fiery molten ones.

"Come with me Little One." Khameir asks of her as he holds her hands in
his, bringing the back of her hands to his lips to kiss them, never breaking
his eyes from hers – sincerity in his eyes and upon his face.

She is silent, unable to speak, her eyes wide with disbelief, confusion
and joy as his words sink in slowly. She rises to her knees before Khameir
and looks into his eyes, her lips slightly parted as if to speak, but
nothing comes.

"What is your answer my beautiful one?" Khameir asks as she kneels before
him, her eyes still wide with disbelief and joy. He smiles and a soft
chuckle slips from him as he looks at her. She had always wanted to know, to
see where he had come from, and now, he is giving her that chance – a chance
in a lifetime.

"Yes! Yes I will come with you my beloved!" She finally answers as she
moves to him and wraps her arms about his neck, kissing his cheek, forehead,
chin, the tip of his nose and last his lips, all the while Khameir continues
to chuckle.

Khameir kisses her back with passion and pulls back to speak to her once
again.

"Then we must make haste, gather what you can quickly, dress in the
clothes I have laid out for you and then we will leave." Khameir explains as
he kisses her forehead with a feather light touch and assists her to her
feet as he stands from the bed with her.

Her eyes are full of excitement as she hurries off to gather her things.
Khameir watches her move about the room, filling a large duffel bag with
whatever she can think of the she may have need of on her journey and while
she is with her beloved Khameir.

And as soon as she places the last thing in her bag, she zips it closed
and moves to the open closet where she removes a long black item of clothing
from the closet and removes the hanger from it and opens it up to reveal a
magnificent deep hooded black cloak. She lays the cloak upon the foot of the
bed and begins to dress in the clothes that Khamier had laid out for her.

Khameir had always done that for her – picked the clothes for her to wear
that day; he always had an excellent sense of style. A sleek pair of black
leather – like stretchy tight pants that she had bought not long ago but
never wore, a long sleeved tight almost sheer black shirt, black bra and
matching underwear and a pair of knee high black boots that she had just
bought a few days ago.

He had always told her that she needed to wear darker colors and just
recently, she began to buy darker clothing, black mainly – it has become one
of her favorite colors. And he told her that black always seemed to make her
violet eyes glow.

Dressed, she thoroughly brushes out her long hair, then takes the cloak
from the bed and unfastening the hidden clasp, she wraps the cloak about her
shoulders and fastens the clasp closed under her chin. And as she pulls the
hood up upon her head, she turns to Khameir and finds her beloved standing
before the open doors to the balcony, the brilliant light of the full moon
behind him giving him the look of a brilliantly glowing black angel, his
fiery golden yellow and red eyes glowing brightly as they look upon her.

She finds herself breathless as she looks upon the sight of him.

"* So magnificent he is. *" She thinks as she smiles at him, her heart
quickening in her chest and her body becoming woozy with the rush of
adrenaline.

Khameir moves toward her and standing before her, he takes her hand into
his as he looks into her eyes, that smile of his crosses his face again. He
kisses her lips with a feather lightest of kisses.

" Are you ready my Little One?" Khameir questions, though knowing her
answer without having to question her. She nods her head, her eyes
shimmering with the love she has for him as he raises his free hand and her
bag rises from the floor where she had placed it and it moves to Khameirs
waiting hand and the bag falls to his side gently as his use of his gift is
released from the bag.

"Then let us go." Khameir announces and together, they turn to the open
balcony doors, passing through them and toward the staircase leading down to
ground level.

Under the soft light of the full moon, Khameir leads her down a well -
used pathway through the forest surrounding her home, holding their hands
between them. They reach the opposite side of the forest, coming to a wide
clearing and there, in the full light of the moon, she finds a waiting sleek
black ship unlike anything she has ever seen before.

"Scimitar." She whispers softly, the name of the ship she somehow knew and
knew with all her heart, though Khameir had never told her of the ship and
its name.
